It's true,I poked my head out the window this morning around 8.00am and saw the sun shining.This is the first time for ten days that we have had no rain.
This is also the most continuous stretch of the wet stuff that I have ever seen since ariving here in January.

Despite the rain many of my guests have told me that they now appreciate the beauty of the isle and want to return next year.

Hi all - got back late last nite. Yes the sun finally came out after days of continual rain. Must have broken the record for the quickest trip to Skiathos town on Saturday night. Got the bus from Kouk, took a walk up Papadiamenti Street (or should I say a swim?) for about 2 minutes. Got so wet, my feet were squelching. Had a brolly and fleece but there were huge puddles everywhere. Decided to go back to Kouk to huddle in our hotel bar. Anyway great trip, went further afield in the jeep on drier days. Saw a different Skiathos. Kastro was quite dramatic with waves crashing about. Spent a whole day on Asselinos Tuesday, there were 4 of us on the beach! Had a nice meal yesterday at Panorama Pizza (what a view) followed by a sunbathe on our favourite spot on Banana (minus the sunbeds). Rosemary and George at Varelli said to say hi Guy. Lovely place.

the weather here is lovely compared to skiathos...lovely sunshine today!
everything is ok here, but we're very bored already! going to france next thursday so looking forward to that! Im starting my job at amex on 20th oct, and chris has an interview for a travel place next week so fingers crossed for that.

How is everyone there..?? Is mike still around at oasis? Hope you are all well..how is the end of season going? have sam/lyndsey/jackie driven you mad yet?

Hya guys,welcome to the world wide web of Skiathos.
Sadly the sun only wanted to visit very briefly and so this afternoon the rains came out again from 4.00pm onwards.It is still chucking it down at the mo with lightning above the hills.Tomorrow should be interesting with our last flights out.
Jackie and her bitches are still driving me crazy but they are all off on Wednesday.
Haven't seen Mike around but have it on good authority that he is well.
