it wasnt so much the view i was after, but more somewhere to relax after having a shower, or read a book etc..

Its ideal for doing just that ,not at all noisy and out of the sun.

We are off to Lefkas on Sunday for 2 weeks . May bee Skiathos next year.

thought i'd give a little update on the Blue Dolphin apartments for anyone who is looking for a bit more info.
apartments are very big, bigger than most in greece. very dark due to the walls all round which means that you have to have lights on all the time. also no privacy unless at very last room so have to have the curtains pulled closed at all times. (really missed a balcony)
excellent location- 15 min walk to centre.
never saw the 'wonderful dimitri', saw natasha on our arrival and once or twice during our 2 weeks. heard natasha all the time walking in her heels over the apartment (they live over the apartments)
bar- well as the apartments are advertised as family run we expected them to be open late as we have found with prev family run..
however the bar/pool area is looked after a man called Bill, he closes the bar approx 7-8pm every day. he's very friendly and great stories to be told about his previous jobs as a tour rep. however... everyday the bar was full of people who live on the island. there was no encouragement for guests to stay at the bar, not saying peolple who live on the island cant go but... make some room for guests.
in fact it was so bad that people we were on holiday with refused to have a drink there because they felt like intruders... Bill did a bbq on the last day and apart from 4 of us everyone else at the bbq was not staying at the blue dolphin!!!! (there were about 20 people at the bbq)
would i go back to the blue dolphin prob not.
