| Does anyone know of any operators offering flights to Skiathos from Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle for 2009? It's a real pain in the situpon to have to travel down to Manchester. |

No, definately not as we're WAY up north and it's a pain getting down south to Gatwick first and an extra expense with an overnight hotel. I'd be the first one on the flight if they were to come from up here. Let's start a petition |

If you go on to Newcastle Airport's web site it says they currently don't have an operator travelling to Skiathos following the demise of XL but they are working on alternative providers and you can sign up for an e.bulletin for further info as and when it becomes available.
Got my fingers crossed for all you good folk up there. |

Lisa, of course you have to get there in September too, it would be rude not to
Don't let the soggy weather put you off. |

| We once watched the car park where we stayed in Platanias Valley fill with nearly 3 feet of water which was scary; and then experienced frog song for the following week. Also witnessed a super storm on 31 August this year where the lightning and thunderclaps kept me watching from 4am til dawn. What a dramatic and beautiful island, no wonder we we all love it so much!!! |

| Thanks for that info Mrs W. I hadn't logged on for a couple of weeks so was pleased to see your post when I did. I have now registered and wait with bated breath. I also experienced the bad weather and the gloomy atmosphere following the collapse in September but it hasn't put me off my annual trip to Skiathos. |

In Geof's latest Skiathos Newsletter he mentions Kiss flights from Manchester and Gatwick. _________________ you heard it here first - BOJAN! |
