Hi Folks,

Well just an update about our planned move to Skiathos in January, the news is "the house is going up for sale next week", its been a big decision whether to rent or sell but as our estate agent says, "whats to lose to put it up for a few months" and he is right, if it does not sell we will rent but the overall decision is sell,
I will keep everyone posted on progress and dont forget if anyone knows of anywhere for long term rental please get in touch, we are back on September 11th for 2 weeks and have a car booked for hire so we can get about, we have a few to look at but more are welcome at a good price!!!

Hope you are well, just going through some old posts on here and I was intrigued by this post. Was wondering all these months on and with the change in ecconomic climate, how you getting on. Any closer to the dream?

Hi Jools,

We have been that busy I have not had chance to update,

we put the house up for sale a few weeks ago on a Friday, on Saturday morning we had a couple round who made an offer (cash) on the Monday, we said no to that one, they made another on the Tuesday, again we said no, anyway they came back on the Saturday and we agreed a price, we should be exchanging tomorrow, and completition on 11th September, the day we fly out for 2 weeks holiday, although we have nowhere to live , but we are seeing 6 houses the first weekend so lets keep the fingers crossed.

And we have now finalised we will be starting our drive on October 2nd and are taking it easy and expect to be in Skiathos on the 7th or 8th. so there we have it, lets hope it goes smoothly,

LATEST UPDATE::

Well we have exchanged contracts today!!! thank god, ther solicitor was a muppet!!! she was asking for a corgi certificate for the boiler, I tried telling her corgi is no-more, but she would not have it, anyway we have it sorted now and have the Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry booked, so it looks like we are on our way, will keep you posted,
