I'm impressed with the list. I'm impressed with the obsession of making the list. Very noteworthy.
I'm smiling, but please don't read any sarcasm in this reply.
I am truly moved.
There are other beaches, of course, but I certainly don't know their names. For example, I think Kechria has two or three beaches. And between Kechria and Kastro there is a beach that fits maybe two people, which I stumbled upon (literally) two summers ago. Don't know the name of it though.
Just to make you jealous: I drove to Koukounaries for the full moon last Friday. It was glorious. _________________ The unnatural-- even this is natural. |

Great list SLJohn. My hubby wants to photograph every beach next year with his posh new camera !!! You only have about another 26 to add to that list please as there are over 60 on the island. Keep going _________________ www.ClearSpray.co.uk |

how easy are all those beaches to get to?
which ones would you recommend we definitely visit?
prefer to go for a day, so ideally have a taverna or 2 close by, prob by bus as hubby wont drive abroad |

The majority of the beaches are on the bus route - there's only one bus route and that runs from Skiathos Town to Koukounaries(and back!) usually about every 15 minutes or so.
Somewhere on the Board there is a Which is Your Favourite Beach thread and there are lots of photos. I think every beach has at least one taverna or cantina. |

mrsdibdob ......... some of the most beautiful and quietest beaches are on the north side of the island which only takes about 20 minutes by car or preferably jeep. Try to hire one for just a day to explore these wonderful areas. And believe it or not, most of them have a taverna on them too. Try Kechria .... stunning. And the best taverna ever. You can drive right down onto the bay. _________________ www.ClearSpray.co.uk |
