|
|
Hi all
Just been into Thomas Cooks this morning inquiring about flights for next year & they have told me unofficially that the Newcastle flight is being pulled for next year
If anyone knows different it would be nice to know. If it's true then it looks like all us northeners are going to have to congregate down in Manchester & beyond in the future

Just an update but i have been on the phone to thomas cook and they have not heard of the skiathos flight being pulled, so i phoned my local branch back to find out the score and it seems that they might have made a mistake as its the santorini flight thats being pulled off instead and they are still taking bookings for skiathos
Hope thats the end of it _________________ May your troubles be like the old man's teeth... few and far between. |

Its not often a black n white agrees with a red n white but, I was in TC yesterday especially to ask the question.
And it is the Santorini flights that have gone the journey, the flights have just not been selling.

Thomson are advertising flights from Newcastle but they are expensive. £770 for 2 flying 18/6.

Gary, have you had a look at Travel Republic ... 18 June - 2 July Newcastle-Skiathos £602 for two people. There may be some add-on's but even so it still might beat the £770 |

Hi Gary
I went into thomas cooks 3 weeks ago and booked flights from newcastle on 4th june & 17th september £672 return for the two of us & thats with paying for the extra luggage allowance, and as far as i know they are the only ones flying from newcastle
next time i'm passing thompsons i'll have to pop in and ask
would be nice to have a bit competition for the newcastle flights _________________ May your troubles be like the old man's teeth... few and far between. |

hello again gary
just had a look on the thompson site and it came up with £617.96 for 2 adults on the 18th june 2010 but only 1 flight found
looks like thomas cook must be selling seats to other holiday companies as the flight number is a thomas cook flight
there goes the competition from newcastle i suppose _________________ May your troubles be like the old man's teeth... few and far between. |

Thanks guys, I will look into this. Those quotes are far more appealing than the one I was quoted.
