Are due to complete on the house on Wed so when I got back from work today Claire has already started to pack.
The place is starting to look a bit empty and it really brings it home what we are doing.I think it is now that I have to question our decision.

Course I will.It is just odd thats all.
Packing 40 years of my life into 15 cubic metres of boxes seems a bit final. _________________ www.perigiali-skiathos.com

Darrell -takes me back to the 70'sin Sharjah, U.A.E. Nr.Dubai when we
bunged everything including my piano and our car intoa 40-ft. container and shipped it to Piraeus. The resulting saga with crooked customs officials, robbers in the guise of shipping agents, truck drivers with their
hands permanently outstretched etc.etc was unbelievable to say nothing of the mandatory residence permits for all 'foreign' nationals
hoping to realise their idyllic dreams but we overcame all that and spent
over a quarter of a century watching the seasons change on this most
beautiful and magic island. |

I think now that we are in the bit in the middle.Between countries and soon to be living out of suitcases.
Once the financial stuff has gone through we will feel a lot better.I have never trusted banks.Claire has been on the phone to Eurobank and they have a branch in Grafton Street in London which is good as we have our account with them in Skiathos.
Thanks for all your kind comments. _________________ www.perigiali-skiathos.com

How much c**p can you accumulate after just 4 years in one house???
I am NEVER moving again.
Our dustmen will hate us tomorrow.
No wonder I haven't got any money, all the stuff I have bought over the last few years has just gone in the bin!!!
The last few days have been a real nightmare. We have had the plasterers in to finish 2 rooms,so they have to be fully decorated including lighting, skirting and new rads in different places from the old ones,at the same time Claire is trying to pack while she is trying to toilet train Sophia. Also I had to go to the pub today to watch the Gunners. We haven't done a bit of Xmas shopping,Claire is going into Reading on Sunday to do it all in one day.
On Sat we are going to my brothers house in Newbury for 4 days, then off to Milton Keynes for anothe few then New Years is back in Newbury.
On Jan 2 we are going our separate ways....Claire to her mums in Irby and me to my mates mums in Stanmore.
I intend to drive oop north at the weekends until the middle of Feb.
Some of my homeboys have got a ski trip planned to Kitzbuhl in Austria at the end of Jan......maybe!!
I need therapy. _________________ www.perigiali-skiathos.com

| hi darrell, june is right, you will always be saying "IF ONLY" life it'self is a gamble, if jackman can do it ,you can, and you have a good skill ,if I remember, you are a plumber yes? I see only good can come of it , a roof over your head and a skill. I am stuck here mostly housebound,I would go to gatwick tonight if I could, but I cant even holiday there again,so i am thankful that I went so many times in the past. what's the worst that can happen ?? material things dont matter, and you have a wife and daughter., you can always come back when you are old and grey,if we still have a national health that is. just go and make the most of it,I will be watching for your posts. good luck.patsy |

Thanks for all the goodwill Patsy.Things are moving on at a fast pace now.We are scheduled to complete tommorow and then are venturing into the unknown for a while.
Hopefully I can pick up some plumbing work in the winter,24 years as a plumber in the UK will hopefully count for something. _________________ www.perigiali-skiathos.com
