Hi Lindyloo... did they say which company? I did a general search on the internet and found nothing. I would be very surprised if this is true - surely Skiathos doesn't offer the right sort of nightlife for 18-30's...??!?

Hmmm, would have suited me when I was 18 or 30 come to that. Hills to walk up, bars to get a beer and loads of girlies.
Might not have suited V when she was 18 - bit of a raver back then, not any more of course.
Ouch!

Perhaps that was more to do with the BBC club having won one of the franchises. Certainly changed that beach for the summer ... _________________

Daqrrell says they can stay at the Perigali...
Oye, Darrell... that's going to kill about 100% of your over 35 business.....
I wouldn't go near it - for a sweet Skiathos holiday, with a 10 foot pole....
And I'm no old fart! (still a musician wondering what she wants to be when she grows up, at 53...)
I can actually remember what it was like to be 10-30, and worse, what I did! _________________ "If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.

Hi Lady - yes we have seen You Tube - we are in dispair about our beautiful beach. I guess it all boils down to money. |

well, we can always visit Banana in December!
We just did - exquisite... no one there, peace, sunshine and one day so warm that had I been inclined to whip the clothes off, off they'd have come.
The water is another story...
But yes, money is king on Skiathos and I do hope that they see ahead to how to manage all that money entails, before it is too late. Proper management and decisions not based upon lining a certain someone's pockets can still enable plenty of money to be made without further destroying what it is that drew people there in the first place!
I worry that it'll go so far that they will lose the quality visitors...
leaving it to the 18 to 30 year olds boinking in every dark alley, puking wherever, from too much drink, glass all over the beaches from broken beer bottles... like it already is there now in the busiest months...
Don't I just sound like an old fart , now?
