Well back to the same old weather after 1 week lasing about in brilliant sunshine we land at Manchester to rain and cold.

It was the best weather we have had in our many times on the island and my little girl woke up this morning and said i didn't won't to come home to our reply neither did we.

The beaches even Kook were quiet and everything was starting to get busy as we left. Mandraki Elias was still the same and the walk through the pine trees showed us the fire damage from last year. (we left as the fire was coming). Kostas who owns the Byzantium were we always stay in Troulos showed us a photo of the fire coming over the hill.

Anyway back to the washing pile looking forward to 13th August when we can go back for 2 weeks.

So Jealous you've been to Skiathos! we are so looking forward to our trip in August.

Like yourselves we normally stay at the Byzantium however the cost forced us to look elsewhere this year and we are staying at Villa Maria just down the road.

It was so tragic to hear of the fire stories in Skiathos last year were the fires close to Byzantium?

No doubt will be proping the bar up with Kostos over the odd Mythos or two!!! aahh can't wait.

Anyway happy washing not long until the next one!

Never been in May but next time we go, it'll have to be May.

I know you said it was sunny but what were the temperatures like?

Also how busy was it in town / buses / beaches etc?

We went this year 2nd -16th May. as we left england the weather picked up to be very warm. As we arrived in Skiathos the weather went down hill to be mixed with a strong northerly wind. Glad I took 2 cardigans and 3 pairs of trousers. Wore the cardies most of the fortnight. as we left skiathos on the 16th the weather picked up to be warm and sunny. As we arrived back in england the weather turned for the worse and was cold with rain. It's been glorious in skiathos since we left but thats the luck of the draw! Roll on september.

got back myself yesterday after 2 weeks. Sad

Weather best I've I had in May.

Pity the strip etc wasn't open bank holiday as it was last year, but hols still good-still 4am bed times!! Alkyon was as good as ever.
Roll on September for another 2 weeks. Cool

Hi

The weather was great 28 in the day just nice for lazing about and not bothering to move. The town was just getting busy as we were leaving but you could get in at the Jailhouse without booking and it was the best as usual.

In answer to Jackie Costas has a photo of the fire just coming over the hill bu Christakis and it looks very frightning.

When are you going in Aug might see you in Costa's, the last night we were there he set up the Karoke for us but i think we and 3 others were the only participants, still has to be done. More bacardi next time perhaps.

Didnt realise they were so close in Troulos, must admit that sounds a bit too close for comfort! hope things are okay this year!

We are arriving 5 August for 2 weeks, its good too hear the Kareoke is still going, have to say made a fool of ourselves on that on a couple of occasions! no doubt will again this year if Costa does his infamous BBQ!

Only 8 weeks Tuesday!
