Flying out for two weeks next Friday!! Only 9 sleeps to go! For those you've already been this year, what were the exchange rates like? Was it cheaper to get Euros in Skiathos or here before you went?
Thanks Jackie |

Hi Jackie
Just got back on Friday.
I brought Euros at post office 3 weeks ago and rate was pretty bad at 1.21.When I was in Skiathos, I was told that I would have got a better rate at the bank..................anyone know if that is true?

If you have a debit card,try www.onlinefx.co.uk
(I think thats the right address!!)
they tend to be a bit better on the exchange rate, which is not good at the
moment,currently offering 1.21 euros to the £

Pretty poor at the moment National Bank of Greece wanted to charge 20 euros for changing travellers cheques. We got 123 at another bankin ST. No commission (can't remember name of bank sorry). Hotel gave us 120 ater taking off 2 per cent. Bit of robbery really cos we heard before we went that it was 127 over there. Have a great time. |
