Hi
I am looking to try a new Greek Island for myself and hubby to take our son (who will be 4 yrs old next year when we plan to have our next hol). Is this a place that is suitable for young children - if so can anyone recommend anywhere in Skiathos??
Many Thanks

Hi Becks
We've been to Crete (x2) and Kefalonia (x2) with our 2 boys now aged 10 and 7. Generally the Greeks love kids and are very friendly so I dont think you'll have a problem. Only small issues we've had are:
1. making the mistake of taking them out to dinner late at a "posh-ish" taverna - combination of tired grumpy kids and slightly snooty waiter not great.
2. lots of smokers in Greece and my youngest delights in pointing that out at the top of his voice then coughing loudly for effect.
3. the heat can sometimes be a problem for small kids - a siesta is brilliant if you can persuade them
Also may take a while to get used to the Greeks touching their head for luck. We love Greece and have never had a bad holiday - try it |
