Two Irishmen decide to take a day trip to the Isle of Man and, wandering
around the port of Douglas they discover a bar that sells draught
Guiness so they get no further and spend the day scooping up. Also in the bar is a young man and they find he is from Dublin so they end up buying each other round after round until the young man can no longer
stand the pace and becomes paralytic. Never mind the men say, he's
one of us,we'll take him back wid us. They just manage to catch the
midnight boat back to Dublin, virtually carrying the young man.
Wandering along O'Donnel St. in the early hours they reach No. 5 and knock on the door. Eventually an upstairs window is thrown up and
a woman leans out and shouts "Wot jiz wont ? knocking at a woman's
door in the middle of the night - wot jiz wont ?. One of the men asks :
"Duz Michael Shaughnessy live here ?" The woman replies " Yes he duz
but he's not here,he's on his honeymoon in the Isle of Man "!

Looking at St. John's avatar reminds me of the chap who went into a
pub and ordered a pint but, suddenly feeling the call of nature, left his pint on the bar and made a beeline for the gents. On returning to the bar, he noticed that someone had takena good swig from his pint. This happened a couple more times during the course of the evening so the
chap wrote on a card " I've spit into this pint ! " and propped the card
against his glass. On returning from another trip to the gents, he
noticed someone had added "So have I ! ""
