Good News (in case this has not already been posted).
I was looking last night and Skiathos is back on from Manchester next June. Price was just over £800 for 2 in a studio which seems good to me!
Manchester Skiathos Airport 05-Jun-2009 14:00 19:40 Monarch Airlines MON7186 Monarch Airlines (A)
Skiathos Airport Manchester 19-Jun-2009 20:40 22:30 Monarch Airlines MON7187 Monarch Airlines (A)
Probably should have booked before posting this but still got my heart set on Naxos. Lost our Mykonos flights so looking at flying to Athens and getting the ferry from there! |

Hi Pubgirl
We booked Skiathos package with Olympic last June and were well impressed - the price was excellent - and we've already booked to go back with them next September.
I can understand you having your heart set on Naxos - I've just returned from my second visit - I would be more than happy if all my future hols were in Skiathos and Naxos.
BTW the fast ferry from Athens (Rafina) only takes 2 1/2 hours to Mkonos - there is the option to take the internal flight from Athens to Naxos = they run twice daily in summer and it's approx 62 euros one way trip which can compare favourably with the ferries and is much quicker. _________________ you heard it here first - BOJAN! |

Thanks Suejet
It is the postings on here that made me look at Naxos, might even have been yours on a "If not Skiathos" thread!
Think we are hoping for the Thursday night flight to Athens and coming back 16 days later on the saturday flight. Thinking of having a week on Naxos and a week in between and I want to nosy roun Athens for the last 24 hours.
Where did you stay on Naxos? Was looking at beach bit just outside of town or Ag Prop.
Cheers, Gina |

Hi,
I have just booked Olympic Holidays on the same flights from Manchester as Pubgirl has quoted. I am going 29th May to 12th June. I like to stay with Taxiarchis and his apartments are Olympic only.
I have stayed there many times and have been very well looked after.
I always accept the advice of Suejet. In these times book a package and pay by credit card!! |
