After reading through some posts an Anatasia sounds like the person to know, about all things Skiathos and wedding booking!!!

After listening to the news lately im also worried about booking through a travel company at the moment but not sure of the other options, as this is def what i want to do and hopefully in the next year and a half!!!

Anastasia is a wedding co-ordinator based in Skiathos town, she works at the Paybel travel office, we booked a "wedding only" package through Olympic Holidays but they must use her for their wedding services, but i'm sure you can deal direct with her and it may be cheaper. She's lovely, if you would like her number send me a PM and i can give you her details.

Anastasia's great - we booked our holiday with First Choice, and dealt with her direct after finding her details whilst searching the internet....

Her fees are VERY reasonable, and she stands for no nonsense and was able to sort out anything we wanted.....

She also comes to the ceremony & translates it for you.

Can I ask what exactly Anastasia does for you? I have spoken to her and our date seems to be booked but I haven't heard from her in a few months and I'm not sure what I can and can't ask her about!

I'd like to think about booking a reception so that I can give a little more info when we send out the invites, will Anastasia price things for us? Lots of people seem to have receptions sorted before they go out and I'm starting to feel very unorganised, lol!! Confused

How long did you have to wait to get your wedding date and did you have to send anything before hand.

She may have gone home to Athens for the winter, and as she's very laid back, it may take awhile to get hear from her as you quite a while before your wedding....

Send her your mobile number via email before you leave, and she'll give you hers to contact her as soon as you're on the island and settled into your hotel....

Firstly she came to our hotel for a drink and to fill out the necessary forms, and take our paperwork and then she went off and filed it all with the authorities.....

Although we had asked for the date we required about 6 months previous, and she had confirmed it, she had to "formally" book it with the Mayor, probably just to make sure he's available.... We actually got married on the same date that we got engaged 2 years previous Smile

We didn't "need" to send her anything except our contact numbers before we left the UK, but I did email her copies of the paperwork just for my own peace of mind, and I know Kirsty faxed her copies of hers too, so its upto the individual if you want to do this Smile

We went to meet her in her offices the day XL went bust and she was totaly MANIC but she still came with us and helped us arrange our flowers, the reception, the cake and other bits and pieces and she was extremely helpful.

Not once did we feel that she couldn't be bothered to help us or that she had too much else going on......

You can ask her absolutely ANYTHING and she will "eventually" get back to you with answers your questions.....

I think everything was booked and sorted withing 3-4 days - we had to change some of our plans due to the bad weather, but as it turned out, we certainly wouldn't have changed a thing about the day....

We then had to go with her to collect the marriage certificate and sign the book in the Town Hall a couple of days after and then pay her. NOTHING is paid for until AFTER the wedding (which is a bit odd as we have to pay for everything, or atleast put down a substantial deposit up front here!)

We gave her a photo and a momento of our day and she was so touched she cried (either that or she thought it was horrid - lol!)
