Having flown with First Choice this year to the Zorbas apartments we decided to look at prices for next year.First thing that I noticed was the 7am flight from Gatwick is no more , the same for Thomson or even Monarch.
This is a shame as getting to Skiathos just after noon was ideal with time to go on beach or do bit of shopping, just sit on balcony in the sun.
The flight now leaves at about noon on Friday which means about a 6pm arrival, we have done this time before and before you now it it is about 8pm and no sun.
They do a flight from Birmingham at 7am which I think I would prefer , that would also be a new experience as never left from Birmingham airport before.
On looking on First Choice to Zorbas we had the basic price come up for a studio but with an option to upgrade to an apartment, which we did.
On looking for 2009 only studio prices come up with no facility to upgrade to an apartment, very strange.
I have emailed First Choice who will no doubt tell me I missed something basic on their booking form,we will have to wait & see. |

Have been checking flights for May next year and on flights.co.uk
(I think!!) there was an 0700hrs flight from Gatwick showing.
I have looked everywhere for this but to no avail,it was a VIK flight code
the 0700hrs First Choice was apparantly diverted to Birminham from
Gatwick _________________ Would love to live in Skiathos-heaven! |

have just booked from Manchester on 29 May as didn't have the bottle to wait any longer to see if anything new goes out from Newcastle next summer. If there is there will be a stampede for seats. At least (providing nothing else goes wrong in the holiday trade) I know we can get there for two weeks now. |

We've booked online with Thomas Cook for next June & September.
All they required was £100.00 deposit on each booking.
At least we have (crossed fingers / toes ... all 6 Foxy) confirmed bookings for 2009.
As regards Viking Airlines, you should read elsewhere on the board for other opinions.
I believe Guy has booked for two trips in 2009 |
