Might be a conflict on your PC. I'm looking at it now, and it's working fine for me.

Have you tried viewing the webcam with Firefox or some other browser? I know, at least in the arly days, Vista had all kinds of issues with software compatibility.

I spent some weeks converting one of my company's applications so it would run under Vista - man, there is nothing that would persuade me to put Vista on any of my own systems.

I have Vista and it works fine for me. I have a really cool desktop gadget that allows me to have the webcam on view on my desktop 24/7. If you go to get more gadgets online and search for CoconutView once you've added it open it up and type the URL 84.205.233.40, the only other settings you may need to change are the resolution for docked or undocked. I have mine undocked at the highest resolution. Enjoy!! PS. You need the Axis Cam Viewer.

Does it also fail in FireFox?

You can download FireFox from here. Installing it is really easy. When you have it running, open the board there and try the link from inside FireFox. A lot of people who had trouble with IE/Vista had no trouble at all with FF.

If you undock the gadget (drag it from the sidebar onto your desktop) you can view it about 4" x 3" which isn't far off what you get when you go via the web. Obviously you can't control the webcam through this gadget but it's great to have it on display. Another pretty good browser you could try is Flock, the webcam works fine on my PC with either Firefox or Flock.
