We travelled with First Choice this year and it was excellent, having never used them before. But looking at their prices flying out from Gatwick on 12th June for 14 nights they want to charge £457 per passenger !! And yet if I check their price for July, peak season, it only appears to be around £320. I cant think of any explanation as to why mid June should be so ridiculously expensive so I instead I have been checking Monarch.
Monarch have taken the early Friday morning slot from XL which is great and their price is £304 per passenger.
Can anyone explain the huge difference in price - are First Choice just taking the p....
And can anyone recommend Monarch as I am thinking of booking with them at £304. Considering the airline problems at the moment I think this is a pretty good price considering this year I paid £260.
Thanks. _________________ www.ClearSpray.co.uk |

I'm not sure whether this has any relevance but we were told that First Choice are cutting back their seat only places from 25% to 5% per plane for 2009 as they want to get back to selling their packages. I suppose this could have an impact on their prices at various times.
Never travelled Monarch to Skiathos but we have to the Canaries and we've never had any problems. I think some of their older planes are a bit cramped for leg room but that's nothing new.
I'd go for the cheapest price, more spending money for your hols. |

| Went to Lesbos with First Choice in June and we paid £850 for 2 weeks in June. Same 2 weeks at same place was £755 online today. Not sure why but was tempted to book as it was perfect!! |
