started my new job at the Atrium Hotel.I am refurbishing a number of bathrooms up there.

I picked my friend Grahame up at the Acropolis at 7.40am.I woke up at 7pm.This is the earliest time I have been up since we have been here.
My drive to work was a journey of beauty.Along Megali Ammos,past the Kalamaki Penninsula and on to Platanias.The sun was shining and it surely beats the M.25 of a morning.

We got to the hotel at around 7.45am (what a pig of a drive) and had a quick cup of English builders tea,sitting on the roof-top patio overlooking Platanias,Kolios and Vromollimnos beaches.

We got stuck in and before we knew it,it was breakfast time.In true style we had sandwiches,tea and some crisps sitting outside,all downed with a can of coke.

The sun got hotter and I was soon down to just shorts and a t-shirt.This is Oct 31.Sorry to everyone who came out for the last 2 weeks of Sept,but we have had your sun for the last month.I had to go to pick up some bits and the temp gauge in the car was reading 27.5 degrees.

We wrapped up at about 3.15pm,had a tidy up and drove back to town.We saw about 6 cars between Platanias and the Acropolis.
Got home,had a rest while watching Takeshis Castle with Sophia (she calls it Tatziki castle).
Then it's time for our evening visit to the Old Port to relax and then home,put Sophia to bed and relax.
At the moment we are watching that film with Rowan Atkinson...Jonny English I think,the one with Natalie Imbruglia (very tasty).

I am working again tommorrow but only a half day.In the afternoon Claire is stating her Greek lessons.

Now I am feeling really "down". Especially after two inches of snow this week Crying or Very sad

Kriandos can't even put the top on a sauce-bottle without cross-threading it. He'll be useless as a plumber's mate.

Sorry to hear you have such a long commute to work, though!

Keep posting your work stories. It's great to imagine where you are and to be reminded work carries on over winter so we can all enjoy ourselves in the Summer.
