What I want to try is a hook-up on the Skiathos web-cam.For some reason I cannot get the view on my pc.I have down-loaded Fire-fox but I still cannot get onto the camera..
This doesn't really matter because next Saturday at 1.00pm Greek time I will stand out on the harbour and wave at the camera.Shall we do it and have some fun?
Will it work?
Shall we go for it?

I'll zoom in and see if I can capture some images, thats if I can get on, with all the other nutters on this board trying to do the same.  |

| Will try and remember to look for you, Darrell - take it you mean your 1 o'clock, not ours??? It was good to meet you on our June holiday when we stayed at Demetris, Kolios and great to read your postings on here about how life is for you, Claire and Sophia now us tourists have left you in peace to enjoy your first out-of-season on Skiathos - hope the Atrium work is going well and look forward to hearing more news from you on here over the winter. Wow,Shepre,was it June.It seams like yesterday.The summer went so quick,it seems like 3 weeks since we had guests here.This is very scary.

we'll be waving, half asleep, from California.... It'll be a bit like Christmas morning here anyway, many of us up early and all excited to see what Santa will bring us, in terms of elections...
So - Skiathos would be the perfect way to start the day!

I am thinking that if (and a big if) I can be seen by the camera,I can take my lap-top to the pre-arranged point,get on the web and watch it at the same time,or if I can't get control of the camera,at least I can read peoples comments as they come in,almost live but not....
Computer dudes,can it work?

Yes,we are 2 hours ahead of GMT.We put our clocks back last Saturday.
I now need to know of a place where the camera will catch us,somewhere like the waiting room where the flying dolphins come in,or are we better off going up to the clock tower and hanging around there. Where is the best place for us to stand to get maximum visibility?

Two places you could stand 1) on the path at the side of the clock tower going towards the taverna at the top of the steps and 2) on the viewing platform overlooking the open air cinema.

| Sounds a good idea Darrell but unfortunately I won't be able to see you. We're driving down to the Cotswolds after lunch to babysit two of our grandchildren so their mum and dad can go out to celebrate their wedding anniversary. What us grandparents have to do eh? |
