| Please add "Amfiliki" (Medical Centre), "Varthalamis (Old port)", "Plakes" (Plakes), "Agnanti"(on the way to Evangelistria) and "Panorama" (Profitis Ilias) and all the taverns and restaurants close to the "Treis Ierarches square" (I can't remember the names). |

Emplo's on the front, past the Alkyon. Great setting.
Also the place under the tree, down a little side-street by the Chinese restaurant. I think it's called Alexandria's or something. They have a couple of lads playing music, lovely atmosphere and good food. |

| on the subject of tavernas ... can anyone tell me the name of the taverna at the end of the road in koukounaries? it's at the last bus stop on the island? and if possible can i have a name and telephone number for a contact there? (it was by far our favourite by the way) Thanks! |

Alexandros, a nice place, never won my eatery of the year, but always keenly visited. Lovely staff, great atmosphere.
What is really sad is that the Glifoneri on the front has removed stifado from their menu, it was the best on the island. I moaned at the guy in 2004, but it was still missing i 2005.
After 2005 visit, my eatery of the year was Asprolithos again. I don't understand how it can be that the place has such good food, such good staff, and is only slightly more expensive then the bulk of the tavernas.
The Folia is always a favourite of mine, the location sucks, and the service can be slow, (who wants fast food on Skiathos!), but the food is nice, and there is always buckets of it for the price.
I could go on...

| The last Taverna in Koukounaries is called The Village, the head waiter is called Fotis. Sorry don't know the phone number. |

Evening Ian, seems you have caused quite a mixed reaction from the many and faithful. We each have our own favourites for many and varied reasons,personal tastes vary and thankfully we are'nt all the same.I'm sure Geof will do his best to include those other restaurants mentioned.

As it is not possible to add to the list for voting, I will say that my choices are Thessaloniki Taverna -Megali Amos, and Don Quixote Tapas - Skiathos Town.
If I may suggest, as it is not possible to add to the voting list, cancel it & let us just mention our favourites; otherwise it is not accurate. |

Simon surely all you need to do is add a new subject to the page ? Seems like he has a good idea here ! |
