I was just wondering when everyones first visit to skiathos was and where did you stay? Mine was in 1996 and i stopped in koukounaries at the perialli studios. If anyone has any old photos of skiathos or their first visit it would be nice to see them.

First visit for us was Golden Beach hotel in Koukanaries, in 1999.

2000 - Alkyon.

Memory is a bit scratchy but think it was either 1997 or 1998 staying at the Alkyon in Skiathos Town, someone I worked with thought Skiathos would be just our cup of tea - how right they were.

My first visit was 1999 - stayed in the Koukias appartments in Troulos. We went to Skiathos purely by chance as my then sister in law worked for Manos and got us a huge discount. I've been back nearly every year since and can't imagine not going back...!

First visit was a last minute cheap booking just to get away, found paradise and keep returning. Cool

(Now Closed thanks to Golden Sun but no loss really)

2004 – Paradise Hotel (Sept) Laughing

2005 – Grenada Caribbean (For Work Honestly). Cool

2006 – Paradise Hotel Laughing

1986 in Skiathos village, at Matoula and Ilias Tsaprounis' pensione.

I have pics, but have NO idea how to upload them here... any helpers out there? (I need to scan them into my computer first, but there are some good ones...)

2001 Makis Apartments
2002 Hotel Australia (dump - booked "accomodation on arrival")
2003 Villa Anna
2004 Lydia Apartments
2005 Roula Apartments

I just asked my beloved, and we both think the Makis was our favourite. Being so high, the views were sensational. The walk up and down the "road" to get there was an effort though.

We couldn't go in 2006, there were no flights available. Sad

Our first visit was 2001 stayed at Hotel Stellina never been back there but probably would if it came up at the right price .

The Myrtia were very good even if they are a bit of a walkto the main road.
