Hi Guys
Three questions.
We are coming back in July /August next year and we cant remember a couple of Restaurant names and a pub.
There is a very small pub run by an Englsih man and his wife opposite an Italian Restaurant ( wherethe tables are placed out side on the pavement ) and their front room is the kitchen. What was the name of the pub and the restaurant. They are both located in a side street
Can any one recommend any "Great Restaurants"?
Where is the Jail House restaurant and what is it like ?
Thank you all in advance

Hi
The Old Port Jail House is in the Old Port past the Fish Restaurants and the Ice Bar, up the steps in the corner, booking is recommended. Food in there is lovely. Also the Windmill is nice in the town, bit more expensive but reallygood food and view. It is a real hike up there so be prepared! They have a website you can book though before you go.
Cheers

I think the pub you were refering to is the old port bar.
The Jailhouse is round at the end of the old port.I am not sure if it will be there next year. _________________ www.perigiali-skiathos.com

Hi Darrell
Why do you think they won't be there next year, it's a shame if they aren't

| I was also told that Jane and Martin were leaving the Jailhouse at the end of this season having been there for eight years they feel that's enough. |

"Great restaurants" is somewhat a personal thing. It depends what you want. When on Skiathos, we want real Greek food. So we've never been in places like The Jailhouse, The Windmill, Bonapartes etc., which serve "international cuisine" and are raved about by some board members, but would leave us cold.
We go for the real "back street" tavernas like Mesogia, Alexandros, Hellenikon et al.
Asprolithos rarely fails to please whatever your taste. _________________ Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |
