It was a good'un.
It was really good fun.
It was short by a couple of Cheshire Cats.
it was enjoyed by all.
We had a great Boomerang evening on Monday 8th Setember at Taverna Vareli.
Kath n'George turned up (but then, when don't they?!) and Liz and Ian. Now there's a man who can tell you why your car exploded!!
Plus, as a bonus, Mr Ian Moderator joined us. Second only to Geoff Baldry in the "seriously important on Skiathos" league, he gave us loads of very special insights into Skiathos which only he knew.
The Monday Boomerang night was so good we all decide to do it again on Wednesday. Another interpretation would be that it was so awful we wanted to have another go to try and get it right!
On Wednesday it was the turn of Taverna Strofilia in Koukounaries to entertain us.
Those of you who have been following this thread will know the Vareli nights have been arranged at table 15. It's my table, and that's where I'm staying!
Scarily, when we arrived at Strofilia, after a drink at Agustera, we found the only table laid for 6 people was number 15. Kath n' George assured us this wasn't planned. It must be an omen. So, to avoid major catastrophes, it would seem best to have all future Boomerang meets at table 15, wherever we are!
Taverna Strofilia was excellent, congrats to Kath'n George for suggesting it.
For the second time that week we all had a great time. And, embarrasing though this is to admit, I had my first Greek bus ride to get home to Troulos. Thank you Ian for expalining how it works.
2009, here we come!

Hi Guy and all the other boomerangers. Mrs Cheshire cat and I were and are so sorry we were unable to join you all. We had every intention of attending our first boomerangers dinner.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances completly out of our control it was absolutely impossible to attend.
We are sad we didn't get to meet people but we are hopeful that next year we will attend. Again, please accept our sincere apologies. _________________ We started with nothing and we have most of it left. |

Hi Cheshire cats
No worries. We would have loved to meet you but, sometimes, the world seems to conspire against us.
Let's hope we can all get out there in 2009, airlines permitting, to do it again.
