Hi my name is Jane, I have visited Skiathos twice now, staying in Skiathos Town both times. My partner and I fell in love with Skiathos the first time we visited and that is why we are getting married there in May this year.
I have been reading the messages, and Chelleb's wedding photo's are stunning. We have only 5 weeks left before we fly out and we cannot wait. |

Hi Jane, Welcome to the board . There seems to be sooo many of us this year getting married in Skiathos, its such a lovely place. I bet you cant wait.
Have you sorted out all your paperwork? and could I ask how much you got charged for the translations etc? its just that I am getting married there in September and I need to budget for this. _________________ Thanks

| Welcome to the Wedding club. We fly in a few weeks too for our Wedding on 5 June. All exciting now, although had a couple of problems with documentation late at foreign office, but all sent off to be translated now so should get them back next week and off to Olympic in time. I can start to relax now and actually think of holiday stuff not just wedding arrangements. |

Hi Gaynor, The certificates of no impediment cost £30 each, legalisation costs £19 per doc but i think this may have gone up to £25 this month, £30 per doc for translation and £15(ish) per doc for Embassy stamp. There is also an admin fee for the translator as she couriers the docs to the Greek Embassy to be stamped.
As i felt that the time scale to get all this completed was impossible, we had a trip to London to get everything legalised at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office then dropped them off at the Greek ladies house for translation. We received everything back within a week, so it was worth it as we can relax and plan for our hols.
If you need anything else i am happy to help.
Jane xx |

Congratulations to all of you and especially welcome to Janeymo.
Loads of photos to keep us all happy imminent
I have vague memories of Chelleb having problems something to do with paperwork and posting of it last year but all ok in the end. _________________ you heard it here first - BOJAN! |

Thanks Janeymo for the info regarding the costs for the wedding docs etc.
Could you please PM me with the address for the Greek lady who translates the documents. I fee a trip to London in the off at the end of June, just to make sure all paperwork is in order.
