just had news that soula's mum had been taken very ill last night,soula is the wife of christos ,who runs the paradoso taverna in troulos and owns the "diamond studios" soula's mum was taken to thessaloniki hospital. children are with grandparents.

hi guy, now let me get this straight,i always thought that ,the little woman, of the name of maria with short dark hair always smiling,was christos's mum who's husband george is the one and only chef in the kitchen,she does speak some english which i taught her.over the years.now i thought that was christos's mum. roula( the one on the till her mum.and dad only visit rarely, middle age couple, his mum rather plump,and would always sit just outside to the right of the till a rather shy couple. maria is always at the taverna looking after the chidren.i always thought she was christos's mum. will try and get an update .dont know whats wrong just that she was taken ill.

Goodness me. How confusing!

I know Christos, although he will have no idea who I am, and his wife, the georgeous dark haired lady who manages the till and who was pregnant last year.

I had thought the older lady who has the lovely smile was the mother of the lady on the till, who I thought must have been Soula from your post.

Now, who knows!!

But, whoever it is who was rushed to Thessaloniki. I really hope she gets well soon.

just had text.from sally who gave me the news,my above post was correct, soula's mum (who was taken ill) is NOT the little smileing lady who is always there with her hubby george in the kitchen,(george is christos's father) but soula's mum only visits withsoula's dad on rare occasions they sit on the side of the till beside roula when they are there on a visit,,so it was christos's mother in law that was taken ill. i do hope i have made myself clear christos's mum is the smileling lady short dark hair. UPDATE= roula's mothers in law has been in hospital for some time i think roula is in thessaloniki to be with her mother,and christos is taking it hard.

I had an e-mail from Christos and Soula back in mid April, they told me that Soulas mum was having a bypass operation and that she was still in hospital but they said she was getting better, the news that i read on here is not good, I do hope they have some good news soon. I'll be thinking of them. They are always so friendly and they seem to work so hard but are always smiling.
