Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a H type & M type XD card is and can you use an Olympus XD card eg in a Fuji camera?

Type M are generally for the older models.
Type H is up to 3x faster
Type H does not work with all older cameras (you need to check your manuals).
Type H cards are required in newer models to capture video at high rate (640x480x30), type M cards would simply not be able to keep up
from the 7dayshop.com pages

Thanks Ianb
I'll have a good look.
I ran out of card space in my 2 week hol in Naxos last year and don't want that to happen in Skiathos. _________________ you heard it here first - BOJAN! |

I'd still run out of space. _________________ you heard it here first - BOJAN! |

Sue, You should be OK with a type H card but check your instructions . Olympus cards do work with Fuji cameras .
If you are going to do video get the biggest card that works in your camera , Some older cameras wont take the 2g cards. 7dayshop have some good deals , buy 2 1g cards then if something happens to you camera or you loose a card you still have the other card and wont loose all your photos . |

Sue
If you have access to Costco, have a look. I got Glass Spark a 2GB transflash card for his Samsung mobile phone . . . it was only £15 (incl VAT). They have a whole range of memory cards. |
