here is the view we had over Koukounaries at the smoke from the fires during the heatwave. One night we thought it was snowing there was ash falling from the sky!

I can't remember the year but we were in Troulos at Thanos Studios when fire broke out on the North of the island. The water planes were coming in low over the village and my brother thought I was staying by the airport when I phoned him. It was a bit weird in the pool under a funny orange glow and ash dropping into the water. I think it may have been the year before we were shaken out of our beds by the earthquake.
Anyone visiting the same time as us??? Look out  |

Not all the time. In 2003, the last time we went, we were flooded out of the apartment during heavy rain...in July!!! |

2002 was the last time we were there as well - and we too were flooded out. We were staying in Aghia Paraskevi. What a coincidence - spooky!
The rain soon cleared up though, the next day the weather was beautiful again.
