Kriandos is trying to besmirch my good name. To answer in the order the questions were asked.
I only drank all the Metaxa because Panagiotis asked my to save you from yourself.
I have now been accepted back in to the fold my impeccable character restored.
I had to struggle to get Captain Ouzo drunk; he did pick up a boat full from Banana to take back to various beaches. Rumour has it that he hit the jetty at Kouk`(love Yannis to death)
As you well know people all over Skiathos are clamouring to give the better half and me a “tab”. This is a scurrilous rumour and I may sue.
We always dangled you off the back.
Did you know that we have two gnomes in our back garden called Pixie & Dixie? |

Hi,
my daughter celebrates her 9th birthday during our two weeks in Skiathos, and I'd like to know if anyone could recommend a nice restaurant/taverna that will make a fuss of her and make her birthday a day to remember _________________ Blue Nose |

| If you tell them it's her birthday, I'd bet that they all will. |

We stayed in Platanias from 20th July to 3rd August and didn't have a bad meal all the time we were there. If we have to have a worst it would be the Mesostrata, not for the quality of the meal but for the quantity. We don't like leaving food, but the huge meal (my husband had chicken souvlaki and I had lamb chops) completely over-faced us after the large starter of fried courgettes. The food was delicious but we ended up leaving loads.
Also had excellent meals at Avli and Maistrali (shrimps at both were excellent) and had a special meal at The Magic - with lovely view.
We had a really good meal at Green Park and was impressed by the variation on the menu - my husband had roast lamb and it was delicious and the steak I had was about half the price of anywhere else I'd seen.
Platanias Restaurant was worth us visiting twice, including our last night, but then we were pleased to return there to the bar after going there several years ago and being made so welcome. They still remembered us.
When we got fed up with similar menus everywhere, we went to Skiathos Town and had a lovely Indian meal at the restaurant there. It looks as if it has only recently opened, but it is now in its fifth year and they were quite happy to cook me something that wasn't on the menu. |

The Green Park is theeeeee best restuarant we ate in, I can highly recommend it, from the wonderful (huge plates) of food to the music to the rafia couches and the cocktails, and it's resonably priced too. Wonderful!! |

Hi all,
we all got back from AP a week ago and can safely say that the best place to eat if you have children with you is the Pegasus
The food is great and you can relax whilst your children amuse themselves in the garden area
The Green Park is over-rated and if you have children who like to roam around after they have eaten, I would definately not go to any of the restaurants on the main road - although Jimmy's do great pizzas and a great English breakfast _________________ Blue Nose |

Pegasus has only been open a few years, its on that little lane down the side of Platanias Taverna; past Maistrali & Avli Tavernas they are next on the left. Never eaten there yet, so will have to check it out!

Darrell,
as Ksenos points out, the Pegasus is down the lane which is almost opposite the number 16 bus stop heading into town.
We had our daughter's birthday party at the Pegasus and they went out of their way to make it special for her - they put flowers on the table and even got a fantastic chocolate birthday cake for her
We would also recommend the Avli and Maistrali, but the Pegasus was our favourite _________________ Blue Nose |

the Pegasus is owned by Kristos of the Kohili on the main rd been opened 2 years now I think, Funny how Blue Nose says Green Park is overrated when many on this board enjoy the food and atmosphere there.

Pegasus is my favourite place to eat & I would recommend the little pork fillets, with a choice of 3 sauces, yummy! It is now in its 3rd season, has a nice bar area to relax for a few drinks after yr meal whilst the children let off some steam. It was set up as a joint venture by Kristos from Kohili & Voula who runs the place, now she is the sole owner & runs it with her family who are all extremely friendly, definately worth a visit!!! _________________ για μας; |
