Hi Al,
Now I am confused.........but pleasantly surprised.
Is the Taverna that's referred to, in the other posts, in the same place????
Foxy, I hope you've not given me a bum steer here...........or had you heard that deep down I had leanings toward the Reds in Liverpool!!!!!

I don't understand Foxy's last post. I live on Skiathos. Sklithri's beach and taverna is, as I stated, just below the main road which dips down almost to sea level at that point. It's approximately midway between bus stops 11 and 12. There is a car park conveniently located on the inland side of the road opposite to the entrance to the taverna and beach.

Thanks again Al.
Yo Foxy......I'm a great believer in trust, but I think that this time, in footie parlance, the home team's taken the three points!!!!!! _________________ Cheers,

Hi Karen
No idea when it closes but it had a steady stream of lunchtime customers including some of the Kalamaki based ex pats. I hope Swinjohn made the visit with his friends as he was very keen.
The Calamari was very good indeed, we should have gone back again one evening like you said ... _________________

Phil adores Calimari he too said it was good, I think it will have to be our evening out on saturday just in case it closes early, may have to visit saturday lunchtime too. Not long now, 4 sleeps plus a couple of hours on the sofa thursday evening prior to going to the airport at 1am friday. _________________ Karen&Phil

Going back to something Kaz said earlier about Sklithri taverna and checking your bill - last month we heard about a couple who were charged 160 euros for two fish meals! They questioned the price and were told it was correct so they paid but were not happy. (We wouldn't have had that amount of cash on us). I don't know the outcome of the story but I believe they took their complaint to higher authorities.
I don't think I would have paid it but what do you do if you're given a bill that seems so outrageous and you're told it is correct? |

CALL THE POLICE
In the event of any major discrepancy or problem you should try to resolve the situation with the owner but if this fails by all means take your complaint to the police accompanied with any proof you may have and they will help.
It’s not very nice to feel that you have been blatantly ripped off and in many cases there is a genuine reason but mark my words the authorities and I mean the Police take a very dim view on this kind of conduct.
