Ummm... they say..... and then if it's not been a good shoot (or slaughter, I like to say...) many of those dogs (who haven't been properly trained and therefore would possiibly rather be off chasing butterflies) end up dumped at the dog sanctuary. I've seen countless german shorthair pointer and lab's up there. Before the shelter we would just see them cut loose, all ribby and bones showing, begging at the tavernas or on the beach. Sad but true.

There indeed are Romantic notions a'plenty on our beautiful isle.........
