We are starting to make our travel arrangements for our journey.
Is it worth me taking all the documents relating to the car (insurance, mot etc etc) with me? Am I likely to get stopped anywhere on my drive for these documents to be checked? _________________ www.perigiali-skiathos.com

Darrell - Take it all with you, MOT certificate, insurance, registration document etc. Also make sure you've got headlight convertors if you're car is right hand drive. You also need first aid kit, triangle, hi-vis jacket and fire extinguisher for most countries. Pain in the bum, but better than getting stopped and not having it.
Will you be going straight to the hotel when you get there?, we'll pop along and say hi before steve comes back.

Just been re-routing, think we will now go from Venice, cost more on ferry but saving a load on fuel and tolls.

Hi Sue... are you still taking your dog with you? Will it be an issue on the long ferry journey from Venice... not sure what you are supposed to do with dogs on ferries with regards to doggie toilets...!

On the Dover-Calais ferry, dogs have to stay in the vehicle. Superfast ferries ie Venice to Igoumenitsa they have a doggie section where they can do there stuff!!. Thats what I have been told anyway. Good job ours is used to holding it.
