Hi Bri/Rose
Welcome to our board, Paraskevi is a very nice soft golden sand beach, and the sunbeds there are the best on the island - nice thick white sofas really, park yourselves for a morning, shut your eyes and wake up ocassionally and take a glimpse at the beautiful green/blue sea, if you feel energetic go for a cooling dip and look through the clear water at the fishes, go back on your bed, have a kip or 3 then a leisurely delicious lunch with a carafe of wine and or some nice Mythos at the beach taverna at the Skiathos Princess Hotel right on the beach (well worth the cost very very good and excellent service) then go back on your sunbed and think how great it is that you are there .

Aghios Paraskevi is one of my wifes favourite beaches for a swim. We don't spend long on beaches on holiday, to dull, but V does like to have a swim every other day or so, and AP has been a regular stop for years.
Be interesting to see how the area greens up after the bush fire in the summer. When we were there in September, there were a few green shoots amongst the ashes.

Welcome Bri/Rose,Weve been 7 time Aghia Pareskevi/Platinias and guess where we are going next summer 
You won't be dissapointed at all,as Ian says try the Search button as there are plenty of topics on Aghia Pareskevi/Platinias.
