Hi everyone,
Has anyone stayed in the Golden Beach in Koukanaries? I'm fairly happy now that the fire damage isn't going to spoil our hol on 7 September but has anyone stayed in that area and in that particular hotel that can give us any further information? Your photos have all been spectular, can't wait to get there. 5 weeks and counting.

Maureen's stayed there a few times, I think. We had a few drinks in the neighbouring tavernas & hotels last month and it's a decent area. You'll enjoy it.

Margaret T - yes as Foxy states we have stayed at Golden Beach. Our first holiday in Skiathos in 1999 was spent there and we went back twice more. We like Koukanaries but lately have stayed in Troulos. There are plenty of places to eat and you can eat at Golden Beach. Don't know if they have the same staff but they were always friendly. Rooms are clean and it's pretty quiet there. Breakfast tends to be a bit boring after a few days but plent of it. You can always pay a bit more and have something different. Nice and flat walk to the main beach too unless you fancy a climb up to Banana beach. The other good side about staying that end of the island is that you always get a seat on the bus, as the bus starts there.

Golden beach is lovely, eaten there quite a few times and always been very good. Staff are excellent. Enjoy!

Beautiful setting but the food's a bit poor and it's expensive.
