Just been to island for first time. For those who are first timers thought I'd tell you that we flew with XL and although aware of the stop off on the way back were caught out.
We were seated in the middle of the plane and drinks and snacks were not served till after the stop off.
People were so hungry and de hydrated I would suspect as they didn't start serving until we'd been on the plane 2 hours 10 minutes that everyone was ordering stuff.
They got to us 1 hour and 35 minutes after they started serving and guess what only had cheese nibbles left, sold out of all snacks !
Fortunately they hadn't sold out of drinks, so after being on the plane for 3 hrs 45 minutes we got a drink.
Be Prepared, we will next time.

Hi Discopants
Good advice.
The stop off is either for refuelling (possibly Thessaloniki), when you probably won't be let off the plane, or to pick up more passengers (Kavala), when you will be let off the plane and can get stuff at the airport.
Whichever it is, it's a pain.

The food on XL is from a menu and at extra cost.
It's mostly hot or cold sandwiches, wraps, paninis, or similar.
Here's the menu but please, try not to get too excited!

Perhaps the wine is called "Boomerang" because it keeps going back and forth between the UK and Skiathos and no one drinks it?!
