Hi, does anyone know where to go in Skiathos to buy house insurance, we are coming over on Aug 22 , been coming since 1996 , got married in 2005 in Skiathos (where else Question

), and we have a little house there ,just finished this year and need insurance - i`m bit bothered about fires Exclamation

any info please .

all the main banks will insure yr house, you can go and ask them there.
as well, there is an independent insurance guy named theodore on the back street just behind alpha bank on the waterfront, opposite the taxis
.
he works with many greek or international insurance cos.
in the same office they have a courier service as well.
i have all my insurances with him.

here are some business that will make one poor or among the most hated:
1: renting quads
2:club bouncer
3:opening a strippers club (like the new one opened recently by the airport road where the vegetables used to be),all the wifes hate this place.
4:selling insurance ( im still waiting 5 years for 20,000 euros compensation against damages- this a common thing in greece)
5. being a mayor ( i met the recent one with cellphones closed on secret beach hiding away from it all and we got drunk together, talking good old times)
6: renting motorboats and telling yr clients they have FULL insurance.
7:coppers working in august and dealing with young irish( i knew the idiot would get in trouble as, soon as he arrived he jumped in the pool with shoes and cloths on ,splattering all, and when wife told him plz dont and plz read the signs he replied: i m off from this f....... place- lucky i were asleep on my siesta- then he got in a knife incident and now hes spending the rest of the week in jail: great holiday.
8:owning a bloody hotel and seeing 3 yrs old drink water from the pool while parents play cards!!!!
foxy i got the august blues again, but as always ill cope but plz dont consider the above jobs.

A strippers club? We tried to guess what that building was going to be - wouldn't have come up with that one.

So now, when the planes come in to land all the people sitting in the ABC seats for the wonderful island views will have a birds eye view of a strip club....... welcome to Skiathos Shocked

Makes all the hated McDonalds signs seem tame in comparison. Do you know the nationality of the owners?

its a greek town in the middle of greece.
i think they wont last long.
i hear they plan to keep it open for the winter as well , but i think the women of skiathos wont allow it.
there is a law that says shops of its kind can be in operation only when the population of a town is 15000 or more.
in the summer i cant see anyone visiting for there are truly lovely young ladies on all the beaches.
so i foresee another MacDonald splitting soon.

Oh geez, Skiathos Lad, just what I want to see... a bunch of little girls with fake boobs in g-strings and pasties. My daughters age - or maybe closer to your own daughters age?
