I would like to know a way to celebrate the spring equinox on march 20th. thank you in advance. I in no way want to insult anyone but through Samhain and Yule I have felt a pull. Something drawing me out to understand. I wish to answer that draw respectfully. |

My deepest apologizes as today is the first day of Spring, (atleast according to the calender) and you are just now getting your answer. I look upon this as a celebration of a season, not just 1 day. It is a time of re-birth for all of nature. Meditate on the changing of the season and feel the awakening of nature around you. If you are an outdoor person, like me, it is a good time to go out for a walk...even if you still have to wade through some snow... see what kind of new life is peeking out of the Earth. If you run across a few wild flowers pick one or two, thanking Nature for her gift, and put them somewhere for all to enjoy. It is a time to plant... new seeds, new ideas, new plans and goals. Enjoy this time, not just today, but for the next week or even 2. Spring is a wonderful time for new beginings. |

Thanks windsong.... And I took your advice before you gave it I have been weeding/playing in my flowers i planted several years ago and took some "stray" growth off my azaleas and transplanted them in some other bare spots ( actually i did the azaleas about 1 month ago and they look alive and the buds are larger, i am extremely excited about that). I did find you on myspace also a few days ago. I will send you a "hello". thank you so much for your responses. |

Found U 2. Thanx for the howdy. Spring is such a wonderful time. Light has triumphed over dark and as the days grow longer and the earth warms new life begins. The equinox is like a wake up call pulling us out of hibernation (we are animals too after all) and telling us to get up and get out and start this new season with planting and growing in preparation for the harvest to come. For the wheel turns and all things cycle through in their time. What you plant is what you will reap, both in the garden and in your life. Now is the perfect time to get it all off to a good start. |
