I like to do a tarot reading for myself at each Full Moon. The last couple had been telling me to look for change or expect change. The end of the past and a new begining. Well The last few weeks I discovered that I will not be returning to my former job of 13 years. I have made a career change and struck out on my own. I am now SELF-EMPLOYED ! I like those words ! But I do believe that constitutes change...big change ! Now my cards are telling me that my new goals will meet with success but that much hard work must be expended to obtain them. Not what I wanted to hear but, if it's worth having, it's worth working for. Isn't it just amazing how accurate the cards can be?? Shocked

Yes it is amazing. Congratulations on your business. That has to be exciting/scary... a rampant of emotion. It is amazing how we are able to use that adrenaline to sculpt change and success (the same adrenaline that can give us anxiety attacks when we give it no direction)
I read tarot from a regular playing deck that I own (my husband gave me the cards for christmas one year so I feel they have a lot of positive energy) I tried to use them one day last year to do a reading (I found a website online that lists how to read playing cards) and I was amazed. I never let anyone else read for me because the cards always come up bad (for a long time i insisted on forcing my path in a direction it was not headed. My path resisted greatly Smile

). I do still regularly have a very negative card reveal itself in my deck but thankfully it tends to sits in the resolved past.

my children got me tarot cards and i love them! i am still not confident enought about the meanings to do them without the book to tell me what things mean...but in time that will change! do you ever wonder just what abilities you have with all the tools available...i never knew about tools and energies years ago..i just knew i could see and feel things that others couldn't ..and when i found out there were tools to help tune abilities..i realized i need a big tool box! because i want to learn it all! hehehe!

Tarot readings are alot of fun aren't they? I read mine regularly and it is always amazing how accurate they are. One thing to keep in mind, you can read your cards everyday and they will always come out different. You could read 3 times a day and it would change. Every decision we make, every movement we do to make chang also changes the outcome of the cards. Don't think of the "bad" reading as bad news. Think of them as warnings ahead of time so we can make the necessary changes. They are simply guideposts to help keep us on path.

i love reading them...but you see i have a problem most nights after work...it is called a neighbor that won't stay home! lol! she is literally here everynight sitting at my dining room table from when i get home to when it is time for bed with her daughter walking in to talk to her, or her husband, or someone on direct connect on her phone...and i don't want to hurt her feelings and am not sure how to break it to her gently where she understands without offending her...i have a weakness i will be uncomfortable myself before i allow someone else to be...i wish i had more back bone because i have sooo much i want to get into! my hubby is soo supportive and has made sure i have everything i need to work with...so i might just have to be blunt..if i can muster it lol! i am sure that if i could only learn to meditate and tune i could open so many more channels..

I definately understand how hard it can be to be blunt sometimes. Especially with someone whom you consider a friend but, if she is intruding on your life to that extent it is time to make a change. Have you ever considered just locking your door and closing your drapes and not answering??? I know that seems very rude but it's a thought. Or just meet her right at the door when she starts to come in and flat out say that you have plans and DO NOT have time to visit tonight. Maybe after a few nights of that she would get the idea. I always hate to hurt someone elses feelings but, you have to be given a chance to live your own life and persue your own interests too. Your other option would be to just go ahead and do what you want weather she is there or not. Perhaps she will find that it is something she wants no part of and leave you to your "witchy workings" of her own accord. Oy...the other side of that coin is maybe she will find it fascinating and then NEVER leave you alone... guess you will know best how to handle the situation when the time comes. GOOD LUCK !!!!!

I've had my decks for almost 4 years and I'm still not confident with reading them. I have a good book that is laid out as a workbook. I'm going to work my way through that and see if I can't be more proficient at reading them. Smile

The only way to get better is to PRACTICE...PRACTICE...PRACTICE... every chance and excuse you get.
