Quartz are my FAVORITE crystals. I have sooo many of them. Every May there is a Gem and Mineral show in Martinsville, VA. I have been for the past three years. I've gotten new quartz there every year. Along with many, many other pretties. I love crystals. They are just so pretty and useful too! |

I have lots of Quartz crystals too. Gorgeous ! They also make good "stand-in" when it calls for something else and you don't have it. I have several Amethyst crystals. I think they are about my favorite. I also LOVE Tiger's Eye. Alot of my quartz came from a friend in Ark. She sends me 1 or 2 new ones every year. |

Oooh, I love amethyst too! Purple is my favorite color. Tigers Eye is pretty too. I love all my stones. My best friend and I found this little store one time and this lady had a plastic cauldron full of quartz. I think I picked up 6. ^^; She only wanted .75 each! I told her I wish I could have bought them all. lol |

I'm always on the lookout for new stones and crystals. My touch stone is Malachite and I always try to find new pieces. We have a wonderful rock shop that sets up each year a the state fair. I can spend hours looking and poking through what they have and their prices are REALLY reasonable. I'm working on turning some of my newest stuff into beads to use on candles etc. |

I was going to get my first malachite at the gem show this year, but the dealers had very small pieces for very high prices. I'll try again next year (unless I find some between now and then!) |

It can be kind of pricey but, it doesn't take to big of a piece to do some good work. Some others may disagree but, I tend to re-use alot of my stones for different things. Just be sure to cleanse them real good in between and re-charge them each time. So far, I really haven't had any problems doing this. |

I do the exact same thing. As long as they are cleansed, they are ready to go again! |

I do have about half a dozen large quartz crystals that I keep for only one purpose. I charge them as " Magical Batteries". Any time my spell work needs an extra boost I use them. Part are Sun charged and part are Moon charged so I have whatever I need depending on the spell. |

I have one quartz for that also. I carry it with me in my purse so it is with me all the time. I use it for my booster when I need it. |

I have a number of stones...I don't know what half of them are XD If anyone knows any good sites I'd be grateful.
I love clear quartz though, I use it to help me meditate and get in the right frame of mind for spells and rituals, then I use haematite to help ground me afterwards. |

I don't know about web sites but there are any number of good books on the subject. Try your library. Even just a good "rock" book would help you identify what you have and then you can go on to discover their magical uses from there. Post a list of what you have here and I will give you what information I can. |

There are several great books out there. One is The Crystal Bible that I use quite often. It has lots of pictures and details of the stones. |
