Character History
Melinda grew up in the southern low-town section of Maze where she had fallen victim to several rapists. Having lost her left eye during the struggle, among other psychological scars, she hunted each of her assailants down one by one and left them brutally murdered. She spent some time isolated in the desert wastelands hiding out from the law, as Theseus is a disctatorship where she would no doubt have been sentenced to death.
Fortune smiled upon her when a shuttle landed in the desert near the outskirts of Maze, she convinced the small crew that she would work for them in exchange for passage off the brutal planet. The shuttle returned to its host freighter, a Streel designed Timeon Clipper in the service of the Sovereign Domain Authority. The captain of that vessel determined that Melinda would someday make a fine SDA fighter pilot and brought her back to SDA Flight School for immediate training.
