And now the Wiz have been bounced from the US Open Cup. After a scoreless 120 minutes (oh, where have you gone, Eddie Johnson!), KCW lost 6-5 on penalties.
Heartbreak.

Eddie Johnson?
I think he may be shackled to FULHAM RESERVES.

Well, it was a bit of mixed week for me: Scott Sealy was dealt to San Jose for $$$, but Josh Wolff re-signed. As it turns out, that may not be a bad thing for the Club!
Three goals in a match -- especially against a team that humiliated us at home in June -- is always welcome, as is the point on the road.

Back from the All-Star break, the Wizards picked up where they left off, earning a draw! That's seven in a row without a loss; now for a win, boys!

It's true -- I've been despairing! It doesn't look like this season'll be extended into the playoffs this time . . . still, hope never dies!

Dustin,
With Kansas City Wizards WINNING a game I thought you would have been on here celebrating, I didn't post because I didn't want to "P" on your parade but a week or so later NOTHING from you.
Surely you didn't miss the Wizards 3-2 home win against Chivas USA, a nail biter after being 3-0 up.
Sorry about your 2-1 defeat at Colorado yesterday.
Never mind, next year you could make the play-offs.

Despite their punishing longest trip of the season, almost 3000 miles return, Wizards made a fight of it, San Jose went into the break 1-0 with a 44th minute goal, Wizards equalised on 64 minutes only to concede in the 83rd minute to hand San Jose the win 2-1. |
