That seems to be Lenny's preferred system -- and you can't argue with the results!
I'd thought we were going to have to go to more 4-4-2 to protect the back, but Gardner seems to be slotting in nicely and it helps to have Smithy again.

I've never been a 3 - 5 - 2 man, I'm too much of a traditionalist for such new-fangled concepts, give me 4 - 4 - 2 everytime!
However, Lenny seems to do quite well with these more modern approaches and long may he succeed. Will we hear the phrase 'wing-backs' bandied about soon?! |
