| Gary Mac the new boss at Leeds |
|
|
Just announced - Gary McAllister is the new Leeds manager. Only short term contract until the end of the season (probably depending on promotion!)
GaryMac was class on the park - hopefully he will bring the same class as the gaffer.
I think all Leeds fans will welcome this appointment - we would have chosen him over Wise last time around! |

Leeds lost 1-0. Not the greatest of starts really. The club's form seems to be dipping at the momment. But credit to Leeds for what they've acheived this season so far. Climing up the table after that points deduction. The club really dosen't deserve to be in League 1, i'm sure they'll be back to thier best one day, but not good enough to beat my team Spurs! _________________ "I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception"

You can't really call that a 'start'! The Menace prepared the team for last night's match (evidently not well enough!!) and Gary Mac doesn't take charge until today. Of course we won't match your beloved Spurs - you (amongst others) cherry-picked our cream when Peter Quidsdale tried to make us extinct! |

Yeah we did didn't we Colin and what players they are. Robbie Keane is an exeptional talent and i'm suprised he hasen't been linked to the top teams in the way Berbatov has. Aaron Lennon is quality when fit and is capable of becoming one of the top wingers in the world. Paul Robinson has show moments of brillience, not recenlty though. Jonathan Woodgate joined us this week and he played at Leeds at one point in his career. Plus, young lad Danny Rose is shining for the reserves and he is another former Leeds United player.
The state the club was in they needed some money, it's just a coincidence that a few ended up at Spurs.
As you quite rightly said other teams were involved too:
Mark Viduka - Middelsbourgh (later moved to Newcastle)
Alan Smith - Manchester United (later moved to Newcastle)
James Milner - Newcastle United
Dominic Matteo - Blackburn Rovers (later moved to Stoke)
Nick Barmby - Hull
Jason Wilcox - Leicester City (later moved to Blackpool)
Stephen McPhail - Barnsley (later moved to Cardiff City)
Michael Bridges - Bolton (later moved to Sunderland, Bristol City, Carlisle, Hull, Sydney FC)
Ian Harte - Levante (later moved to Sunderland)
Eirik Bakke - Brann
Olivier Dacourt - Roma (later moved to Inter Milan)
Rio Ferdinand - Manchester United
Robbie Fowler - Manchester City (later moved to Liverpool now with Cardiff City)
Seth Johnson - Derby County
Harry Kewell - Liverpool
Lee Bowyer - West Ham (later moved to Newcastle then back to West Ham) _________________ "I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception"

Thanks for that reminder Tom!
To think that just a few short years ago I was at Elland Road for the Champions League semi against Valencia - and on Tuesday we lost to Southend!
Now, where's that rope??! |
