Disgraceful, clubs complain of fixture congestion yet seem keen or neutral on taking players to Dubai, America, China etc for one game.
Cant imagine the Blaydon Races rolling down the terraces of Dubai, or Im forever Blowing Bubbles in Chinese.
and you think Whitley Bay fans have a long travel to see their team play.
teams play each other twice a season home and away but the extra game would be a lucky draw.
imagine if a team goes down as it lost to man utd in its extra game rather than a win against derby.
who would benefit from any extra revenue ?
certainly not the fans as if its successfully then it will be 10pm kick off times to suit chinese TV
It could be good for non-league football and lower leagues as it will turn people away from the premiership to live football that they can afford to see, normally at 3.00pm on a saturday afternoon. _________________ There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that dont.

This is totally designed to make the rich clubs richer, what will happen if a team in the relegation zone plays the leaders and another of the relegation teams has a easier path could make the difference from going down or staying up.

As great as it'd be to see Liverpool play in St. Louis or Chicago, this sounds like an incredibly bad idea. The travel fatigue, the problems of the unbalanced schedule, the potential injustice -- too much downside.
If the FA really want the world to be able to see the miracle that is the EPL (now where is that "sarcasm" emoticon?) then they should make it easier to broadcast matches so more folks around the globe could watch on TV on a regular basis. But the rights are so expensive and bizarrely divided up that it's hard to really develop a feeling for a club or player.
Thumbs down. _________________ UP to the South! |

Maybe because I was afraid LFC would find a way to choke against Chelski, I actually wasn't too disappointed in that game; the play didn't seem worthy-of-the-moon dire, honestly.
But back to the point, it seems like this idea is getting shat upon from a great height by almost everyone, and it's gone all wobbly.
It ain't dead yet, but maybe the FA will actually stand up the Premier League and put paid to this scheme. _________________ UP to the South! |

Here is a link to a supporters petition saying no to game 39. I've signed it and i think everyone who is against the idea should sign it too.
