I'm going - but won't be asking any questions!
I'm sure all the positive noises will come out without prompting, so what can you ask a man with no reference in management: "Which new beers will you have installed?" - "Will there be an extra fruit machine next season?" - "Do you know anyone who can tarmac the car park on the cheap?"
I'm sure many valid questions will be asked over the next few months, and their nature will purely depend on Sean's performance AS OUR NEW MANAGER.Until then, I'll just listen attentively - hoping for continued success on the field. |

Well although no management experience he knows a lot of our players worked with very well respected managers in the game and has built up a very impressive CV.
The test will come this season but he has a good vision of what he wants to achieve and is a winner on and off the pitch, his knowledge of what players are out there and suited for this level of football and above should be a very good stepping stone.
The man is willing to talk and listen to the fans and will be a carry on from the last manager, I have no doubt that he will become a very big favourite with the fans and applaud every fan to get behind the lads on and off the field. _________________ The History Makers Are On The March |

I
sincerely
hope so.
There's no need to leap to anyone's defence - nobody's being attacked! I'm really looking forward to hearing what Sean has to say. |

It would be nice to know if Phil Walsh has signed.
It appears to be one of those unhidden secrets in the Bristol area. _________________ "CHAMPIONS AGAIN"

It may well be that the club are waiting to announce a couple of signings before going public, though like you reading many of the forums it does seem to be a done deal.
If or should that be when the signing is announced it does send out a very strong intent to the league that Truro have every intention to push on and not stagnate though were all aware at some stage we may well end up in a league for a season or two.

I would really like to be there this evening but cannot due to work [2 to 10 shift].
I would hope someone could find a few moments to put some information on here with a brief summary of what was said so that those of us who cannot get there will know how it went. |

At the end of the day every new manager has to be 'broken in' somewhere along the line.
At least he'll have Dave Newton as his right hand man, although not sure what effect this has on Glynn Hooper's position, but I'm sure he'll be given assistance along the way. Only time can tell. _________________

Regrettably despite an invite from Webby, I was unable to attend.
However, the first question I might have liked to have had an answer on is whether or not Mr McCarthy's new post is a full-time?
Simple enough question, but on reading the Club's website, on reading the newspaper articles - I'm still no better off establishing the answer! |

Sadly it was a question which was not raised last night, along with Glyn's position going forward. In essence it was a fluffy introductory meeting, with no-one wishing to ask anything too controversial at this early stage.
Nevertheless, Sean seems like a very amiable, approachable man with a decent sense of humour (hopefully his "we'll take one match at a time" quote was an example of this - I hope the plan is a bit more long-term!). If this first impression is anything to go by, he will be a popular figure at Treyew Road next season. |

I suppose as he's only been there for a very short time that any questions regarding Glynn and co wouldn't be able to answered. He did say that he will be looking at the squad, and seeing who will stay, and who may have to move on, but that will start to happen when pre season training starts. _________________
