I hope so, but i doubt it. Russia are a good side and i reckon they'll beat Isreal and Andorra.
Robinson has been unfairly critiscised again. McLaren and Venables should stay. Barry should keep his place in future games with Lampard on the bench.
England won't make Euro 2008, roll on World Cup 2010 qualifying. With a few tweaks in the squad we will qualify with ease...i hope.
The best England squad:
Paul Robinson
David James
Scott Carson
Rio Ferdinand
Ashley Cole
John Terry
Micah Richards
Joleon Lescott
Sol Campbell
Michael Dawson
Steven Taylor
Gary Neville
Steven Gerrard
Joe Cole
Shaun Wright-Phillips
Gareth Barry
David Bentley
Frank Lampard
Owen Hargreaves
Aaron Lennon
Michael Owen
Wayne Rooney
Jermain Defoe
Dean Ashton
Andrew Johnson _________________ "I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception"

Tom,
I would need to scour the Premiership as a spectator to answer that, something I cannot afford, my list includes those when representing the country are not good enough, lacking in peak fitness, one too tired to play for the under 21's last season and those too old.
I would however leave Crouch in, he is a target man capable of holding up the ball, unlike Owen who is too small for that purpose and only gets involved for about 10% of the games. |

the blame is split between the players and manager when we dont qualify.
mclaren didnt have the guts to drop Robinson whose error led to the Russians 2nd goal,
mclaren didnt have the guts to choose between Gerrard or Lampard earlier on when we dropped the points which will cost us qualification.
only when forced by injury and Lampard was replaced by Barry did England look a better TEAM. Team is something an England manager needs to create not just the 11 biggest names in English football. He was forced to play Heskey and Owen which worked, not Mclarens decision as rumours say Owen asked for Heskey.
As with Spurs, maybe some bad results will prove better in the long run as a change of manager will ensue. _________________ There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that dont.
