Truro City vs Frogpool  Reply with quote

After last weeks disappointment Truro got back winning ways with a comfortable 8 zip win!
With Truro missing Alec Penrose, Liam Williams, Josh Richards, Chris Mude, Simon Huckle, Steve Bailey it gave other players in the team a chance to show to Sir Flack there potenial.
And players Jack Greenwood and Ben Rowse benched for a much needed rest. the game saw youth players breaking through with Lewis Ellis and John Elvis making there debuts and also new signing Andrew Van Englaienen.
The 1st half saw only 2 goals scored. The 2nd half was a goal feast with just the 6 being knocked in for fun! Frogpool never really threaten the goal, so step in keeper Graham Hill had nothing really to do.
it ended up with everyone wanting to score with chance after chance and even captain and centre back Adam 'Toey' Peters got on the score sheet!!
And even with sims assisting in 5 still failed to score haha
Scorers on the day were

Rob Dunn (3), Christian Lett (3), Adam Peters and John Elvis.

1. Graham Hill
18. Mark Read
5. Adam Peters (c)
3. Andy Van
17. Will Harvey
7. Lewis Ellis
14. John Elvis
10. Matt Ripley
12. Josh Sims
9. Rob Dunn
8. Christian Lett

Subs.
Jack Greenwood
Tom Biddle
Ben Rowse
Doug Lloyd

great report  Reply with quote

That's some good reading, Simsy! Eight-nil is nice! Although it's probably not got that adrenalin-producing edge it might, wondering who'll score next has to be some consolation! Five assists? Always the bridesmaid . . .

It's nice, too, that with such a makeshift squad things worked out so well. That bodes for the future quite nicely. Here's hoping for long careers in the City shirt for some of those lads.
