I have just booked flights for 3 people going over mid march for £84 rtn . That is £28 / person . Thats good , and you don't have to drive all the way to Bristol either . We will be on the beach then with temps in the high 70s-low 80s .
I was a little bit stuned when the flights and taxes cost £16 each , only to find that when you complete the booking you have to pay for check-in and baggage . Having checked their webpage , this is normal which ever airport you fly from .
At the end of the day , £28 / person rtn is fantastic . _________________ Master Chief |

I don't think anyone disputes there are some cheap air flights, unfortunately only on selected days, as the holiday season starts to pick up those fares will not be available, being retired I am fortunate in being able to select when I travel, on the other hand family with children have to go when schools out then it costs an arm and a leg.
To clutch that pot of gold from the end of the rainbow you really need to forget April onwards and settle for October to March.
Costa weather this coming week is rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, people can stay home to enjoy that.
I picked out flights for four of us to Malaga, I chose the cheapest days,
2 returns Belfast to Malaga were £90
2 returns Luton to Malaga were £100
Very good 4 people for a total of £190 return, the flights from both departures were 8.00 am and only 15 minutes difference arriving, however, wishing to travel on other dates saw a steep climb in pricing.
Fares are only bargains if you can get them when you want them, which is rare. |

Anybody still keen on flying? - I saw the video clip below on the local news in Hamburg tonight, they've had some serious storms (downtown Hamburg was flooded) and high winds over the weekend in Germany hence the dodgy landing attempt at Fuhlsbuttel (Hamburg) airport, it looks even better on the wide-screen option (on video toolbar), I'm sure Webby would approve :

From an ex- travel agent (Me)
Just to dampen your spirits -
With most budget airlines if you book a lowcost airline and have to cancel your flight and obtain a refund remember it can take weeks and you only get the price of the unused part of the journey minus the tax back. So if you paid 0.01p for your flight and £50 in tax you would only get the 0.01p back.
Some travel insurances do not cover cancellation on low cost flights.
If the airline goes bust and you are abroad the airline does not have to fly you back to your point of departure so you may have to fork out more for a return flight home.
Other than that if you can get a cheap flight and nothing goes wrong with it then go for it. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=643072620 |

Either way don't think your find Webby getting on board if you didn't realise he is the Dennis Bergkamp of Truro City.

Returning from Majorca in October we were coming in to land at Luton, only a few feet from the ground and the pilot noticed a plane on the runway miraculously he got us climbing avoiding a bread and jam job for the emergency services, jeez that was close, A couple of days before City's Corsham game I shall be flying off to America and Cruising the Southern Caribbean whilst the games on so it hasn't put me off flying. |

Forgot to say £18 return if you you wish to put a bag in the hold
and £5 on the plane if you you wish to have to to have a pint.
But saying that I fancy a NQY- Gerona flight going for £140 for 3 seats return in May but only 2 bags

The temps were in direct sunlight around our pool . The villa is near Torrevieja on the costa blanca . The temps are always good . The humidity was not as high as it can be . It was great . The salt lakes are near and we are close to the mar menor which has good temps all year round .
When I lived there , I was coaching Torrevieja United Youth and was approached by Dave Greene who was the coach for Charlton Athletic European Soccer Schools . I was just about to join when my family decided to move back to Cornwall . Whilst i was over there last week , I was in contact with Charlton to bring my Truro City u16s Jaguars over for a week and play them and some of the other local teams . The Campoamor Golf Complex has been based on the La Manga Club . There are 2 beautiful pitches there that i refereed on in 2004 . The complex has now matured and is stunning . Real Madrid have been down and trained on this complex . Hopefully in the next couple of weeks , we will be able to inform you forum members when we will be going over to Spain and play in some end/pre season friendlies . _________________ Master Chief |
