Just to lift the tone of this thread and issue some praise where it's due apart from the positive result by Trevor's boys it worth mentioning that a lot of us enjoyed ourselves up at St. Day the other night. The pitch may have had a bit of rustic charm for the players (bit bumpy) but the clubhouse and general atmosphere had a lot going for it, nice bar (& hostess  ), two quid for pint !, lovely balcony to quaff said pint on and enjoy the match. Top evening, pre-match raid on St. Day's chippie by 'self and Duchy also satisfactory. Dunno how Popey's old man managed to score a custard cream with his half time cuppa but they appear keen to look after the old 'uns there too
Oh, and Rusty managed to show more illustrious team mates how to put the ball in the back of the net - good work fella ! |
