Fiasco or what ??  Reply with quote

Someone has already mentioned about the dugout yesterday, well I what I saw was NO MANAGER< NO COACH. Newton repetitively just shouting at the players with no tacktical information, Webb standing in a rediculous pair of shorts like a schoolboy who has been told not to speak and Hooper stuck in the middle. The bench void of some of our regular stars. I saw cheesy in the stand sat not involved even for the bench. Does that tell us he is leaving ? Tom on the bench with the back line in total confusion, is he also on his way? Gossy also not involved till later in the game, we miss his crosses.
This is the worst performance by the team in the 3 years that I have been a supporter. I think that these issues off the field must have a impact on the players. Webb has little knolledge of the game at this level and the players know it, Newton has been sacked once by the club and has returned in what capacity I am unsure ! and Hooper who has done a stirling job in the couple of years he's been coach is blanked by both and eventually sat on the bench looking totally bemused at it all.
If Mr Heaney allows this to continue we will become the laughing stock. Already there were comments from their goalkeeper yesterday he seemed to get great satisfaction by goading our players. SORT IT OUT ITS EMBARASSING TO WATCH
Bring back Lenny

gee, welcome to the forum  Reply with quote

I'm gonna get stick for this and be told that as an OOTer I can't possibly know what I'm talking about (as has already been suggested in private).

But I'm so happy that all these fans have come out of the woodwork to kick the Club while we're down.

Been a fan for three years, Argyle, but just now decided to post on the forum? Thanks for that level of support, you vulture.

And to the rest of the new posters with nothing but bad news to share: What gives? You can't be arsed to be joyful but some setbacks are enough to motivate you? WTF!?

I know there are some long-time posters who are also feeling like this is the time to embrace the negative, so maybe it's not a newer/older thing, but a "how you handle adversity thing."

So that leaves me praying I'm never stuck in a crisis situation with some of you lot. Brick wall

Im pretty sure Mr Heany hasnt speant all this time and money to get the Club where it is today just to not think about things right now and make a hasty desision. He knows exactly what he is doing and im confident he is making desisions in the best intrests of the club.

Truro has acheived so much this season, did anyone honestly believe we would do quite this well in this league in their heart of hearts.

Yet another promotion and done in some style if you ask me, winning 31 out of 38 games.

Be realistic people!

Im sure Truro will have a very competitive next season and if we can get promoted again that would be an amazing acheivement, with whoever is in charge and very very close to conference football.

You dont get to be worth 157 million pounds without swred planning and hard work.

Let me just point out that there are obviously different legitimate ways to support the Club, and I'm dead jealous of those who can actually go down to Treyew Road and cheer the team on in person.

I'm basically talking about the forum; why go years in silence only to chime in with a prediction of The End?

Perhaps, as a Liverpool supporter, I'm in a good position to appreciate having high expectations and then having them dashed! Shocked

And, thanks, BigG -- look at us, Red and Blue, working together; we're having a real purple patch!

I for one am going to join the think positive brigade on the forum.Yes we have lost a great manager, and a well respected one as well with all the fans. For whatever reason he quit the job he can at least sit back and say,he made history at T.C.F.C,and what he achieved at the club will be remembered forever. But as they say,the show must go on.
I am hoping that the start of next season we will have another great manager who has played and managed in the Southern Premier or Conference, and also 4 or 5 players who have played in those leagues.I must say though it would have been nice to have seen Glyn Hooper manage the team for the remaining games that were left,I think he deserved that much after all the hard work he has put in not only as a player, but as coach. After all the league had been won so there was nothing to lose.
So lets hope when we start playing our pre season friendlies, all the upsets of the last couple of weeks are forgotten and look forward to playing in a league where no other team in the county has had the good fortune of playing.
Even today the news is getting better, knowing that most this seasons team have signed new contracts, thats got to be good news.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE CHAMPIONS.

KIT.

The only way is UP.

As fans we all have our favourite players, I may be impressed with one that others think shouldn't be in the team and vice versa, this happens no matter what teams we follow, one thing is for sure, any team that is successful needs to strengthen when promoted to a higher level, this results in someones personal favourite leaving the club or being dropped down to the reserve team, postings on forums can give the impression of crisis in such situations, once over the initial shock of losing a favourite player, the replacements usually become one of the new top guns.
Crisis over..............

The only way IS up.

In reply to EXEMBLA you are talking crap I have been a supporter of TCFC for almost 3 years and I have a right to voice my oppinion like anyone else. Just because I am annoyed with this current situation and speak about it on our site doesn't make me a bad apple or whatever you are implying. Your words border on a personal attack on me which isn't warranted. Freedom of speach is neccessary for us all and when an issue arises which WE as supporters can discuss, being positive or negative, it should be allowed without rebuke. If you wish to see some of the postings on other football forums inc Plymouth Argyle's you will observe TCFC forum is tame compared to those. So please feel free to voice your opinion but don't make comments about someone you may not know or may not have met. As a first timer on this forum I may be comment that you have made may turn other 1st times away. It is not a closed shop and others should be encouraged to join the forum. It sound as if you are scared stiff of loosing Mr Heany's financial support so much that you are getting paranoid. Calm down a little and read the postings properly, some, if taken on board may just have a positve outcome. Evey one of the real TCFC supporters understand what our Chairman/owner has achieved with his input and I am sure if he reads this forum he will be examining some of the comments to see if he needs to make any changes for the better of the club. Thats what good managers do, listen and implement neccessary changes which they feel will move the business forward. Anyway thats off my chest now, I hope you can understand my point of view and are a little more tollerant from now on.

Flack-hat on Xembla.
Old man - you are right about other Forums - I visit and contribute to a few.
This one however has been one of the friendliest and most welcoming of them all - and until recently new members/visitors have been greeted with open arms.
What has annoyed me lately though is that during our recent little mini-crisis there have been one or two new users who only seem to have come on here to stir it up and cause disquiet. I don't know who they are or what their motives are but I suspect they are not true supporters of TCFC.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion. And I disagree that my comment borders on personal attack, unless your concept of "border" is freakishly wide. But I can see from your avatar area that you joined the forum last November -- not last weekend -- and so it's a bit of a different case.

There I've got to disagree again -- since the "without rebuke" part assumes that nobody gets anything factually wrong, or that an interpretaion is not subject to counter-interpretation. This is a forum -- as you say -- partially for argumentation, not a therapy for people who want to mouth off and spew whatever blather occurs to them.

I do go on other forums (the Liverpool one is probably most relevant here), and it is precisely because of the negativity that I'm making my stand here. The LFC forums are absolute breadcrumbs after a loss, with so many poster rubbishing the team; it's like they would rather be unhappy than enjoy a win. I would hate to see this forum go down that road. So if my attitude scares off some negative nellies, I'm not gonna be sorry about that.

I do understand your point of view, thank you. But if by being "tolerant" you mean letting Cassandras get away with unmitigated gloom and doom and despair, then I'm going to have to disappoint you. But here's looking forward to years of happy disagreement!

Hey, check out DuchyWill's new avatar!

Why, Xembla, have you interpreted 'Argyle Forever's' comments as a view of the whole season, on and off the pitch?

It looks to me as if he was making some observations (and, admittedly, some interpretation) of the match last Saturday. Had you seen it, you too would have been somewhat.............disappointed!

I'm not sure I have interpreted those comments as reflective of the entire season. Rather, I have interpreted those comments as general hopelessness for the future (which began to fall apart about two weeks ago, apparently), and not as mere frustration at one or two disappointing results.

And as for seeing it, I wish I could have, but it was disappointing enough just reading about it!

You know, I'm not sitting around in a room with posters of kittens on the walls, wearing a shirt that says "a frown is just a smile turned upside down!" I get disappointed and frustrated at poor performances like anybody else, but so far I've managed to resist the tempation to see every setback as the first step into a yawning abyss.
