Not the end of the story as Riise was later pulled over by the police for heading in the wrong direction on the M62 Wink

I get enough of this at home, now I come to read posts since my last visit and have to read it on here too.

I was absolutely gutted with Riise's goal. It was good, I'll give him that but can somebody please show him where Liverpool need to be shooting, he has done this loads of times now.

I hope you're right! It'll take something really special, though. I hope the travelling support sing their lungs out! (Are you warming up the vocal cords, St. Darren?)

howdie doodie my favourite American!!

Those chords are giong to be in fine fetal on Wednesday night, I thiink we're getting in the ground early to save the trouble and hassle of the met police before the game. So get in there and be singing from 7pm.

I'm very confident of scoring there, Gerrard has to be better than last week. There could be a fair bit of hassle at the ground though, so bit wary of that!!! we'll see though!!

The reds will be there,
The reds will be therrrreeeee,
Around the Kremlin
And in the Red Square

good luck  Reply with quote

Yeah, mate, but you've just run a marathon so surely you could show 'em a clean pair of heels and they'd never catch you!

Seriously, I hope the Stamford Bridge crowd take their loss like grown ups and don't have a thrombo.

UP THE REDS

We are used to losing to Liverpool in the semi's - so a win will make a nice change.
Hope our stand-in goalie - Mr Shevchenko - is in good form again.

Deserved victory though nail biting finish well done Chelsea after the week he had feel so pleased for Lampard, think Drogba was spurred on by Liverpool manager.

Glad to see Chelsea 'sat back' for the 0 - 0 draw as was suggested.
Against United in the Final I predict Chelsea will go for the Win.

but I'm hardly ever wrong!  Reply with quote

Okay, so I didn't exactly nail that one, but I'd still say that the game was more wide open because LFC had to come out and score, so there was some football played.

Whatever the reason, Chelsea have seemed less like zombie players and more like human athletes over the last couple of matches.

So, good for your lot, BigG -- enjoy the sensation!

On a related note, does the pitch at Stamford Bridge always look that bad? There were big bare patches in goal and scattered around -- was that an optical illusion created by the lousy weather?

Xembla -
I hope just for the final you can find it in yourself to cheer for Chelsea - just remember who we are playing against - thats got to be an incentive.
As regards the pitch at Stamford Bridge - if you cast your mind back a couple of seasons it was a disaster - like playing on a watered down sahara - a bit like City's was last year, but it has been much-improved lately - although I must say not as improved as City's - the groundsman this season deserves a lot of credit - the pitch has looked great in all the games.

swallow my bile and smile  Reply with quote

You know, a funny thing happened when I was watching the ManU v Chelsea match at the weekend -- I actually found myself rooting for Chelsea.

After three years of thinking Chelski were evil incarnate, I realized that the old hatreds are still the best and when Ballack put away that penalty I actually fist pumped. Then I controlled myself and broke my pinky finger to punish myself for showing that much enthusiasm.

So it does look like I'll be pulling for Chelsea, but they'd better make it interesting!
